Re: Well-written passages

I mean, hell yeah. You don't really get many accounts of engaging young damsels, so good on JB there. I think some of my favorite passages from from Cormac McCarthy, though. From Blood Meridian: A legion of horribles, hundreds in number, half naked or clad in costumes attic or biblical or wardrobed ...

Re: Let's talk Jester's Down. Also what's the best prank you ever pulled?

I meant to reply to this early. Best prank I ever pulled was in the Air Force. We were bored one summer and my flight NCOIC asked us if we had any ideas on things for morale. I came up with the idea to create a fake Airman to be part of our unit, we would just convince everyone else he was real. We ...

Re: Rogue One, etc. [spoilers probably]

I like it, but not as much as Episode 7 or Empire. I think it was a great, but of course there are things that aren't going to appeal to everyone. I happen to agree with some of the stuff in this piece (since we're sharing links I guess) http://movieweb.com/rogue-one-everything-wrong-star-wars/ Thou...

Re: Character building with the P3 Method (tutorial series)

Great points, I'll start adding the exercise text in so people can refer to it from here. Also, I'm glad you mentioned getting the next tut up as soon as possible to avoid being left disappointed with your progress. I think that's a valid concern. That being said, Lucinda Glaston. Cool name. I think...

Re: Character building with the P3 Method (tutorial series)

Yes, each tutorial in the series will cover a different aspect of character building, which will expand upon what's been previously covered. The exercises will lead you step by step through the process, and by the end of it you will have created a solid character that stands out from the chaff.

Re: Greatest Unassuming Christmas Movies Of All Time

I will have to seriously consider this. I can't think of any at the moment that take place during the holidays without it being the focus. Rocky IV was a good mention, as are Batman Returns and EWS. I think Die Hard and Gremlins are the top picks for unassuming Christmas flicks.

Re: Do you guys like Neegan?

You never fail to bring out the best in a topic. If he's a Sandusky, he'll have to butter the kids up with gifts and cussing in front of them so they think he's cool. Like that teacher in that Nicolas Cage move The Weatherman. Great fucking movie. Not as good as Falling Down, though.

Re: ESports

I have always held the view that sports and games are different. If you are an athlete, you should be "athletic." I do not believe pool, darts, or any of that bullshit are sports. No one is going to look at a bowler and think, "Yeah, that fella is an athlete." But yeah, I think t...
